Belongs to the quartz family, its name origins from the XVII. centaury, the italian word, ventura (random luck). The most common aventurine quartz is green, it is fuchsite. If it is yellowish brown it is hematite or goethite. In the other color varieties micas, inclusions can be found, they give its colors and the nice twinkle from its inside. Usually it can be located in thick shapes, among others in Brazil, India, Namibia etc.
